TRADITIONAL PHYSICAL THERAPY
Initial appointments will begin with an introductory conversation, followed by an evaluation assessing the patient’s unique presentation. Initial evaluations are 1.5 hours; follow-up appointments are either 1 hour or 1.5 hours depending on the patient’s presentation, nature of injuries, and preference. This leaves us with ample time to discuss the details of your injury/condition and rehabilitation goals. We want every patient to feel valued and listened to.
A Doctor of Physical Therapy will then treat the patient, likely using a combination of multiple manual therapy techniques (i.e. soft tissue massage, myofascial release, joint mobilizations, Graston/Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization—IASTM, cupping, Functional Dry Needling, Kinesiotape, etc.).
Before concluding a session, the physical therapist will prescribe a home exercise program to best fit the patient’s needs. Throughout the course of your treatment, the physical therapist will conduct intermittent re-evaluations to track improvements and advance your exercise program accordingly.
Every patient is considered an individual, and treatment plans are designed and discussed with your involvement. Your physical therapist will always discuss the nature of the treatment and make sure that you feel safe and comfortable.
